The print was produced by Edizioni l’Obliquo, Brescia – directed by Giorgio Bertelli – on the occasion of its thirty-fifth anniversary of activity.

Double-sided white card stock folder, with inside pocket, closed format 30.5 x 30.5 cm; cover by the artist with handwritten titles in black, overlapping the drawing of a room viewed in perspective. Contains a sheet with the title-page (on the recto) and the copyright (on the verso), the plate, the colophon, and two blank sheets (one at the beginning and one at the end).

Includes information regarding the printer, edition size, printing technique, type of paper, place and date of printing (Brescia, 11 July 2021). Numbering bottom centre.

The black drawing reproduces the spatial scheme of a room seen in perspective, with a table, on which there is an open book. At the centre of the back wall, a “painting” repeats the same design, however in this case without the book, with numerous sheets scattered around the table. An orthogonal red grid divides the picture plane, as if to emphasize the perspectival layout.
In reference to the context of production of the print, commissioned on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Edizioni l’Obliquo, the relationship between the book on the table and the dispersal of papers in the square on the wall can be read as follows: the book collects the scattered pages in a complete catalogue.
The print is based on a drawing that was made in 2014, documented in the online Catalogue Raisonné of the works on paper at number GPC-0607. The iconographic theme of the room with a table and a painting in the background was conceived in 2008 (cf. GPC-1109, GPC-1133) and has led to several variations over the course of time, among which those related to the title
Come è / Come se (cf. among the print editions GPE-0130, among the large scale works GPO-1037, GPO-1041, and among the works on paper GPC-1864 and GPC-1865).
