Lithographic prints located between two plexiglas sheets, black pencil

Dismantled work

A black pencil pierces two copies of the lithograph Come non detto (1990, GPE-0075). The prints are slightly staggered and held down between two plexiglas sheets that feature a hole in the middle. The print edition presents the drawing of a hand that marks with the tip of a pencil the centre of the wristwatch on the other hand. The black pencil, which pierces the centre of the drawn watch, at the same time marks the point where the diagonals on the plexiglas sheet intersect. In the exhibition for which the work was made it also marked the very centre of the large metal structure that contained the works on display.
The same theme corresponds to a previous variant, made in 1991 (GPO-0686). The title and the motif of the hands were further developed in two other works conceived in 1994 (GPO-0733, GPO-0739).
