Senza titolo (senza figura), 1986-87
GPO-0600
Untitled (Without Figure)
Silkscreen on polyester
250 x 330 cm
Collection of the artist
The image on the flag is that of another waving flag representing a cloudy sky. The absence of a figure is emphasized by the white edges, which become the absolute "figure" of this empty flag or flag with a "hole", devoid of a figure, as the title tells us.
The work was made for the group exhibition dedicated to flags created by contemporary artists, organized by the Musée d’art et d’histoire in Geneva in collaboration with the Swiss textile company Création Baumann.
