Collage in plexiglas case, pencil on wall

Plexiglas case 40 x 40 cm, overall dimensions 80 x 80 cm

Private collection, Turin

2004, Torre Pellice, Studio Tucci Russo per l’Arte Contemporanea: Paolini omitted the perimetral lines of the pencil drawing.

The empty double "frame" contained in the plexiglas case is made up of a white passepartout, which in the area corresponding to the inner edge bears a cut-out reproduction of a gilt frame. On the wall, the drawing of a close-knit pattern of quadrilaterals multiplies the square format of the framed element. As is indicated by the two Latin pronouns cited in the title all the modules are squares, but the ones in the drawn "catalogue" belong to another dimension with respect to the one we see from life.
