The work based on a perceptive overturning is made up of the reproduction of the drawing of a room seen from above, in which the floor paradoxically coincides with the colour image of a starry sky. The trompe-l’œil effect is reinforced by the blank drawing papers scattered from the outside of the virtual room towards the centre of the image, until they become lost at a distance of “light-years” from our gaze (corresponding to the paintings on the wall, six of which are cut out, the paper elements alternate with photographic details of the night-time sky). At the same time, the vanishing point converges, at the centre of the sidereal image, into a “blind” opening that allows us to glimpse the wall, the only dimension that we can touch “with the naked eyed”.
