The collage is made up of twenty-five canvases placed close together each of which bears a detail from the cut-out reproduction of Yves Klein's Relief planétaire, so as to evoke, overall, the illusion of a spherical relief.
To make the work, Paolini first covered the black and white reproduction with an adhesive film the same colour as International Klein Blue, and then divided it into twenty-five details, arranged on canvases so that they corresponded to their actual position with respect to the original.
