Senza titolo, 1975

The elements applied to the primed canvas evoke the traces of a presumed painting. At the top is the torn upper part of the photograph of a ruler placed on a blank sheet pinned to a black background. Applied at the bottom, even with the edge of the canvas, is a stretcher bar, while arranged in the middle part are two torn fragments of colour reproductions: one of them is crumpled, while the other represents a cloudy sky.
The same theme was formulated with other elements in a variant made during the same year (GPO-0293).
