Two reproductions are "synchronized" – as suggested by the title borrowed from filmmaking technique – with the real object or its life-size image: the photograph of a ruler on a white sheet is accompanied by a plexiglas ruler inserted crosswise in the reversed canvas, while the reproduction of the artist who holds a blank book in front of him signed with his name,1 is held down by the cut-out image of the artist's hand.
1 This is an invitation to the solo show at the Galleria Ugo Ferranti in Rome in 1975, made with a photograph taken by Anna Piva in 1972.
