The large squared lettering, outlined in coloured pencils on the primed canvas, transcribe the name of the author, the title, and the date of the work itself: “Giulio Paolini" (pink), "Tre colori" (blue), "1976” (green).
The work is part of a group of works made between 1976 and 1977, many of which on paper, characterized by the systematic transcription of the anagraphic data of the work itself so as to generate a cryptographic modular drawing (GPO-0343, GPO-0347, GPO-0370, GPC-0445, GPC-0416, GPC-0418, GPC-0420, GPC-0423, GPC-0448).
