The nine elements aligned at short intervals to form a long horizontal sequence each propose, via two distinct progressions, the image of the components that follow or precede the element itself. The following elements are announced by way of white paper squares, applied on sheets of graph paper, while the ones "already seen" are recalled in pencil-drawn squares.
This the fifth variant in a theme that was begun in 1977 (GPO-0352, GPO-0353, GPO-0368, GPO-0369).
