163 x 163 cm
Signed, dated, and titled on the verso, upper stretcher bar, left: “Giulio Paolini 1971 / Souvenir (IV)”

The work should be hung in a tilted position (not straight).
Twelve photographic negatives are held down along the four sides of four squares made of coloured paper – red at the top and then, clockwise, blue, green, and yellow – pinned to a stretcher so that its borders and cross brace are visible.
The same theme was also formulated in three other versions in the same year (GPO-0217, GPO-0219, GPO-0220) and in two subsequent versions (GPO-0251, GPO-0264).
